Kyiv: From Kyivan Rus to Hidden Courtyards
A city tour devoted to the Baptism of Kyivan Rus Day

Join a three-hour walk through different periods of Kyiv's history, led by a professional tour guide. We'll talk about the Christianization of Kyivan Rus, Prince Volodymyr, and how the Russian Empire later tried to present Kyiv's history as part of Russian history.
Along the way, you will discover:• how old Kyiv really is• a cathedral that became an anti-religious museum under the Soviets• the Kyiv home of helicopter pioneer Igor Sikorsky• hidden courtyards and unusual buildings• volunteers restoring historic Kyiv doors• a cycling community above the historic Kyiv Velodrome• families who made millions from sugar beet• the ancient traditions behind Shchedryk
